If you don’t have an Ethereum wallet and/or MetaMask, it’s quite easy to get started. First of all you’ll have to use a laptop or desktop computer to do all of this.
To create an Ethereum wallet you can go to myetherwallet.com. You can click on create new wallet and think of a password. Then be sure to download the keystore file of your wallet. You will then be shown your private key. The best way to secure it is to print it and keep it somewhere safe. Never hand out your private key to anyone, it can be used to transfer all your crypto currencies!
This is a plugin for your web browser to make it possible for sites to access your wallet. We also need this so we can register your entry in the blockchain. To use MetaMask with your Ethereum wallet, please follow the steps as described here.
Now that you have a wallet and MetaMask all good to go, you’ll need some Ethereum in your account. The Ethereum transaction fees are currently around € 5 so you’ll probably be fine by just getting € 10 in your account. You can do so via iDeal with websites like coinbase.com, bitrush.nl or satos.nl. Be sure to have your public key ready to be pasted.
